This is the flagship programme of the NURC. It is chaired by the President and attended by a cross section of Rwandans and dignitaries from the international community. It has become a prominent and more or less permanent national event that draws considerable international focus on Rwanda. It reviews progress and accomplishments in regard to unity and reconciliation and adopts recommendations in relation to people’s wishes. The recommendations so adopted are made public in the same forum and stakeholders commit themselves to undertake the responsibility and accountability of those recommendations relating to their various mandates.
