NURC AND CHURCHES LEADERS IN CONSULTATIVE MEETINGS TO STRENGTHEN RECONCILIATION PROCESS IN RWANDA

Churches leaders has a crucial role in promotion of Unity and Reconciliation process.

From 1st April 2013, the National Unity and Reconciliation Commission (NURC) begin the consultative meetings with churches leaders in different Provinces. This meeting aims to share with these leaders’ experiences and strategies in order to achieve and meet the Mission and Vision of NURC.

Commissioners and Staff of NURC discussed with churches leaders how to strengthen some strategies to achieve the United Nation as it is the country’s goal.

At Saint Andre centre Kabgayi, in Muhanga District was one of the centre where churches leaders from Kamonyi met today while Muhanga and Ruhango District’s churches leaders shall meet tomorrow 2nd April 2013.

‘’The aim of this meeting was to share with churches leaders and remembering them their role of uniting people as they are preaching and helping people. ’’Revealed Marie Claire Mukamusonera the NURC’s Commissioner who was leading these discussions with churches leaders in Muhanga District. She also underlined that these discussions with churches leaders will be a good time of analyzing the challenges which may affect the reconciliation process in Rwanda. These consultative meeting will cover all five provinces.
