The main objective of this meeting was to discuss on how successful the RECONCILIATION WEEK got completed. It also aimed at revising the challenges that were encountered along the reconciliation process
After completing a fruitful reconciliation week, the commission decided to go through what they had discussed in the previous meetings. The committee that convened for the meeting was glad to announce the achievements that were registered and some few cases of barriers they met along the way in uniting and reconciling.
It also focused on the various activities that the good governance committee caries out in partnership with the NURC. The meeting aimed at strengthening the collaboration that the NURC has with the committee.
The National Unity and Reconciliation Commission was glad to have introduced the reconciliation forum on each district level. The committee members on the reconciliation forum comprised of four members from each province. The president, the vice president, the secretary and treasurer are the posts on the committee. The persons in charge of Good Governance in Districts as well as Forum leaders of Unity and Reconciliation in Districts are among the key persons who help a lot in process of Unity and Reconciliation in their respective Districts
The commission established a COMMUNITY DIALOGUE which brought gatherings of communities on a table and discussed on how to build a united and reconciled Rwanda.
