|   Recent news

Tuesday, January 08th, 2013 at 4 PM in the meeting hall, The National Unity and Reconciliation Commission received a group of 12 students and one of their teachers, from Loyola Marymount University, Los Angeles, USA.

The aim of this visit was to learn from Rwanda, how Rwandans managed to rebuild their nation after 1994 genocide against Tutsi.
Especially, these students learnt how Rwandans managed to reconcile and cohabitate in peace.

Both The NURC’s Executive Secretary, Dr. Jean Baptiste HABYALIMANA and The Director of Peace building and Conflict Management, Mr Richard KANANGA, shared with them the good work that is being done by the commission and the political will of The Government  to make Rwanda a new Nation without any discrimination, a united and peaceful country.

This group of students also visited other institutions such as MINADEF, RDB, RGB, genocide memorial sites and some prisons, where they were informed on several achievements of the country in all sectors.
